for those wondering, GCKEY did not update until they actually stamped the passport with the visa. so gckey kept saying eligibility in progress and bgc in progress until the day the embassy stamped the visa and sent back the passport.

2nd thing that showed up after stamping is the "documents" section it gives details of the COPR like the document number and the expiry date of the visa. and also FYI visa will only be issues until medical expiry date even if its only 2 months away like in my case

So when u saw dm on ecas, how long after did u get ppr? Did any status change at that time on gckey?

i have seen many 2018 cases has been completed

That’s not possible specially for pakistani applicants. We haven’t seen many December 2017 applicants getting ppr maybe just one or two forget about May 2018

CSQ took about a month to be approved. You can call the hotline to confirm if they've received a copy of your CSQ or not.

I got my CSQ already and went to Visa office. Am just waiting for them to get back to me

I understand that your case is probably exceptional because other applicants from April, may, June, July were either stuck in an interview queue or background checks. Usually the trend I noticed is applicants gets their eligibility passed in 12 months Atleast. I have not heard anything from LVO not ADR nothing so that’s why I was asking.

I don’t understand if they find your relationship is real then what do you mean by giving tough time regarding your divorce? When did you apply and how do you know about all this information?

LVO should not have concerns how first marriage came to an end, the reasons, incidents about divorce are our personal life matters, they should have concerns about divorce procedure that either it is followed properly or not and divorce documents are genuine or not, divorce documents are issued properly or not, but if LVO khamkha roab jamay about reasons of divorce to phir kaisay banda unko samjhaye, bhai ye apka kam nhi k dosroan ki personal life kay baray poocho, kia LVO walay apni personal life kay baray kisi say discuss kertay hain jo hum say itna investigate krtay hain, LVO walo kuch to khial kro, hum nai life main must hain tum pichli ko rotay rho

Is it easier to land in montreal than toronto? Toronto to me is a very busy airport .. u hv to transfer ur own bags too if u hv a connectin flight .. plus the landin process ..

Also, would it be cheaper to cargo an extra bag or pay it at the airport?

At airport paying for extra bag is quicker and you take and collect bag immediately at destination.
Cargo does not come right away,could be delayed few days or weeks.

If you live in Montreal/Quebec, there's Turkish or Qatar flights that fly there, which is easier/better than going thru Toronto.
Use Toronto Pearson if you live in/near GTA area.
When landing, you just have to give full address to CBSA for PR Card mailing as it comes in 2-3 months(yes it takes that long, pathetic isn't it).

JazakAllah .. i live in winnipeg, so my hubby will hv to land in toronto .. which sucks .. lol khair, he will be fine ..

In a mans case, they want to know why they divorced the first wife? Was it to bring the new lady? The first one would hv been a canadian citizen, so they want to protect their rites too ..

In case of a lady being divorced, they want to know kay abb jo dosri ho rahi hai, woh us ki marzi say ho rahi hai .. ya nahi .. that was my case ..

Kafi aisay cases ho chukay hain and they want to make sure the canadian girls are protected .. u know our culture ..

got DM on 20th, got PPR on 25th. There was a weekend in the middle too, so 3 business days.
