Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office
You have to add both times: step 1 and step 2 for the total duration...... I am still waiting on my file no update..... hopes everything is going good and everybody gets some progress....

my father files our (of my mother along with 5 children) in may 2007.
at that time we all were underage, but now only my youngest brother is 17 year old and rest are above 20.
we had our first medical done in 2013.
now we received an interview call and 2nd medical is required during next 2 mnths.
we are not sure what they are going to do next, but just keeping the finger cross we are hoping for best.
thanks alot for you concern.
Strange why it took so long from 2007 to 2014 for family class. Are you Afghans or is it a refugee case, etc ??
Seems the interview may be to assess the older children to ensure they're still eligible under family class. Proof of continuous study would be needed to satisfy them, specially for those above 22 yrs of age....they must be single, and fulltime studying, and living with parents.
Best to do the medicals ASAP for everyone being sponsored...
Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office
step 1 is for sponsor
step 2 is for principal applicant.
london VO is currently at 11 months AFTER you are done with step 1 .. so thats means in total it can take up to 11 months plus the time it took Mississauga to approve the sponsor!

In Caips they mention lock in date of CPC Mississauga rather than the date when application is received at LVO. Anyways its a lot better than Islamabad

there is some movement in our case since 2013
yes we are having our medical screening soon for all of us.

regards,
lock in date refers to when they got the file. ever wonder why it says decision made under sponsorship with in a month and it takes about 15-19 months to change the PR ecas?(sometimes it doesn't even change till you get the visa :-\) this implies both the steps are different.

Send them a Case specific Inquiry dost.
That is what we can do, asking about our file. order Notes as well.
what exactly would you ask in a case specific inquiry though?
Something like: "i haven't heard back since blah blah months and was wondering if my file requires additional information from my end?"...
I don't want to say something which pisses them off or something...
suggestions?

Yes you are right but send some additional documents with it as well, may be some pics, may be some skype, viber log etc.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office
Hello Forum, New to the forum. Kindly someone help me with a question or actually two
My application (Spousal) has recently been transferred to LVO from Mississauga office. I am a Canadian citizen. Kindly advise if I were to move to Pakistan till my spouse has received visa, is that ok?
Also do I need to fill some other types of forms or a letter to LVO stating I am moving to Pakistan till the visa processing is undergoing? Thanks
