If you have a canadian PR you would HAVE TO STAY IN CANADA when you file their paperwork, If you are a citizen you may wish NOT TO BE IN CANADA or BE THERE if you wish...
The forms will have to be filled for both of the people separately as there will be one extra form for your kid.

Eligibility means if you ( applicants) is eligible to apply under family sponsorship class ( spousal sponsorship), which means if the relationship between you and your spouse is genuine or not.

August 01, 2018 (today)- received passport request - Alhamdhullilah

Question: My husband is in Pakistan but at the time of submitting the application i became the representative therefore i had put my Canadian address as mailing address on the application. Now he will be sending his passport to Islamabad office as instructed. I am not sure if the mailing address would be an issue to send his passport back to his address in Pakistan. Please let me know if this should be something i need to worry about. Thank you in advance.

AOR Mississauga: September 21, 2017

Sponsor Status Approval: December 8, 2017

Medical request date: December 8, 2017

Medical done: December 19, 2017

PCC and Schedule A request date: December 13, 2017

File Transferred to LVO: January 17, 2018

In process at LVO: January 24, 2018

Haven't heard a thing since the email saying our file has been transferred to LVO. Hoping this is a good sign. (prayer hands)

Nah more like 12-18 months for Pakistanis.

You must bring this letter to the interview along with:
 Current phone number for your sponsor in Canada.
 Marriage photos showing participation by relatives and family friends. (See photo
instructions above)
 Post wedding/honeymoon photos taken with your sponsor and family members taken at
different stages throughout your relationship. (See photo instructions above)
 Updated original police certificates from all districts/areas for yourself and all dependent
children who are over 18 years of age. They must be from ALL the districts and areas
where residence was for more than six months.
 Original marriage certificate (Nikah Nama) with translation.
Proof of your sponsor’s recent visits (if any). Submit copies of all pages of your sponsor’s
passport(s) showing entry and exit stamps. You may submit additional evidence such as
photos taken during any of these visits.
 Please properly and truthfully complete updated versions of the listed forms, using the
website links which follow each named form:

So, more than 30 days

it's only always few days over .. if it goes over by a week or so, then you can always email them back .. as they send you an email once you have paid for it .. it comes with a tracking number which is helpful for them when looking up your file and replyin back ..
