• SOWP application submitted on 29.12.2024
• Biometrics update: 03.01.2024
• Eligibility review started: between 05.05.2024-09.05.2024
• No upfront medical and no medical request yet

Here is our timeline:

SOWP for my spouse - Applied from India. I'm on Open Work permit, not on Study permit.
Completed upfront medical exam before the submission.


APPLICATION SUBMITTED - FEB 10, 2024
BIOMETRICS COMPLETED- FEB 15
MEDICAL UPDATED/PASSED - MAY 3
APPROVED/Passport Request -MAY 15

My wife got a study permit, and went to school and she will start soon, I want to apply for a work permit and our 2 years old daughter. Should we use IRCC new Portal or Gckey? What can you advice? What is the best to use between the two ! Which option did you use to apply ? It’s so quick

I think you do not have option. You must use GC key System only.

My sowp’s application got medical request on 29.05, eligibility was completed on the same day. Aaaaaand no update since then.

Application placed for SP for Jan 2024 intake+TRV for a toddler: 09.09.2023
SP approved: 05.10.2023
SOWP application placed on: 29.12.2023

TRV got a delay bcs of a glitch in GC KEY, right after IRCC acknowledged the issue, approved TRV on 07.02.2024.
SP deferred to Fall 2024 intake: application was reapproved on 27.02.2024

SOWP's eligibility started at the end of April 2024
Medical request on 29.05.2024
Medical passed on 08.06.2024 (on Saturday!)
3-5 desperate webforms in June
PPR: 03.07.2024

SP's program: Master of Management University of WIndsor
Country: Azerbaijan

Toddler's daycare: arranged since 2022
POF: ~62K CAD for all
