Should your two 1-year courses be in the same field to get a 3 year work visa?

Hello Forum,
My 1st one year Ontario Graduate Certificate program is in Computer Programming. I am planning to pursue a 2nd 1-year program in Entrepreneurship after this. I've been advised by my friends that my 1st-year and 2nd-year program and the subsequent work in the 3-year work visa should be in the same field to get good points for PR. Is it true?
What is the status of your study permit ? Do you need to apply for a new one for the second course given that is possibly more of a challenge to show computer programming has anything to do with being an entrepreneur.
Others can comment but dont think it directly impacts a PGWP as long as full time course conditions are met and both courses run almost one after the other just the relevance question with the study permit.

I suggest you double check with immigration on this, OscarSierra. I called the IRCC hotline 2 months ago with the same question; and if my memory is right, I think you need to finish a 2 year course to be able to get a 3 year work visa. In your case, you might just be granted a 1 year visa. Call them though just to be sure!
