Some of you may know I tried to pay online yesterday but my address couldn't fit on the address line so the payment said didn't approve. Someone suggested me to shorten my address, which I tried but it didn't work cause it said this address is not recognized when I tried to do it online. Someone said to change the address to someone you know, so i'm thinking if i should change it to my parents in law's shorter address and then after paying and printing the reciept, change the address back to my own. Will the immigration office see the different address when they process my case? i just don't want them to wonder why my address is this but it says that on the payment of fees...will they find out it's different? someone said it doesn't print on the receipt.
I believe that the address on the online payment section is another security layer to verify if you are the card holder of the credit card you are using. Providing a relative's address may not work unless its the relative who is paying for you. In any case, if you succeed in paying with a shortened/different address, it should not make any difference to your file as the receipt itself is printed with no personal details. You would have to manually write down your details on the receipt and include it with your application.
The security measure is to ensure the addresss on the cardholder is the same as what was entered. If i temporarily change my address online, then pay...I think it may work. I just don't it to show up as a different address on the reciept..if if it doesn't show on the receipt, then it shouldn't matter.

So I tried earlier. I changed my address in my online banking to my parent's in law and then tried to pay and it didn't work. So i know what to do now. I'm going to call my dad tomorrow who's in Canada and get his credit card info to pay it online and then send him a cheque. My parents address will fit in there.

Have you tried calling your credit card issuer and asking them to approve the charge (either the existing one or a new one)? They may have denied the charge thinking it was fraud (assuming you don't regularly change your address and then make large charges in Canadian dollars)
it's ok i'm going to try my dad's credit card later. I called him in Canada and going to writ him a cheque...it should work. Can't now cause 3 months baby in my arms now.
