I got the following email today, I think as a result of that ticket, but still get the error when I try to create the account on the tracker.. I guess I'll need to submit another ticket.
I got that email yesterday as well, although my tracker still doesn't register. The webform automated reply came back yesterday too, informing me that it may take longer for them to reply.
Don't worry about these dates. It doesn't matter when they input it into the system or when they sent the AOR. Once background is done and ecas turns to in progress that's when it matters.
Question: Apart from the ECAS/New Tracker update, does CIC also send out emails to the applicants if there is an update on their citizenship application? Or will everything be on the tracker and no emails are sent out to supplement the information? Your thoughts please?
I saw someone today got an oath date from March 2022 and May 2022. Anything can happen, but take it easy and don't over stress it as it comes. Speedy process to all!
Hopefully they do right by people waiting for years too, saw some very prolonged cases from pandemic delays where they fell through the cracks.
Some applicants from July are getting their test invite, also some August applicants are getting their BG completed , keep your spirits up
even though there are many others waiting for years, yet I prefer to focus on the bright side

No as far as I know the regular updates will not be accompanied by email notifications..only if the applicants action is required will they send an email notice
Probably looking at 60 days between AOR and BG completion? So that takes us well into November...not accounting for Hurricane Fiona delays... although as everyone says it's impossible to predict

I'm going to wait until the end of this week for my tracker account issues then give them a call. At least I can sign into eCAS and see that there is no update on my background checks lol (only app Received, not in progress).
Oct fellow here. Besides the recent 4-5 weeks delay from delivered to AOR, I also noticed they sending arbitrarily AORs early (in 1-2 weeks) to singles and online applicants. Fingers crossed, they should have dealt with AORs for Sept and Oct folks b4 holloween. Lets see! Mine is family, paper, delivered on 4th Oct, I was expecting by 20th but nada.
