Does the received status in ECAS implicitly means AOR or still the application can be returned?

Just contacted IRCC. I was told that my AOR letter was generated on Dec 21, and it is in queue to be sent out. They said that it should be a a week or a few to get it.

Someone pls update my timeline on the Google docs.

Do you see the second line in ECAS ?

When you get the second line, then that is the AOR - or at least that's what is generally considered as an AOR.

The second line should look like this.

1. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on Month dd, 202x.

I asked the agent if it is possible for the application to be returned if incompleteness even after I got the application number (only one line in ECAS), she said it is NOT possible to be returned if you have application number, but if anything missing or they need additional documents, they will contact you.

No, still one line, but it should be a few weeks worst case scenario hopefully.

Hello All,
I submitted my Citizenship App (Family of 3) on Sep 1, 2020 and app got delivered on Sep 8, 2020. I am not able to see any updates on ECAS. I am little concerned as I want to know if CIC returns the application for incompleteness or missing documents, which address will they use. The current address in the application form or the mailing address?. As my mailing address was different than current address in my application. Do they use the same envelope to return the application or they use a different envelope? If someone has changed the address, how will they track the returned application? Any one in similar situation? Any help or guidance will be of help.

You can't see the application number online. Call IRCC and ask an agent for your file number.

If you have been reading past posts in this thread, it's most likely not to be returned. You should get an AOR soon, or ECAS status will be updated shortly.

Call IRCC and check your contact preferences and change to email if required.
