Question to the September group . I received a request today from Mexico for an updated schedule A , fine that’s easy . The strange thing is we also received a request for a divorce certificate ? Neither myself not my husband has been married before , I will probably just write a letter and explain we have never been previously married , and children were born out of wedlock .
Have any of you received something like this? I find it odd because we indicated in the original app that we were both never previously married

I would think that an explanation would be enough. It may be a mistake on their part. Send that in and see what happens.
I would also double-check all the forms if you have kept all of the copies, but I assume you have already done that. Don't worry, if they are asking for things, it means they are working on your app and that is always a good thing.

Perhaps the officer mistakenly sent it? Send a webform along for clarification on the request.
On the bright side, it's good that they've started working on the app

I prepared myself to wait another couple of months for PPR, but it came this morning!!! Just wanted to post an update. My timeline is in my signature.
DM showed up at the same time on ECAS.
I really hope things are moving forward for September applicants. It's time!!! Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the great advice and support.

I am October applicant. Biometrics and Medical passed February 12, 2019
Background check still in process...
Nobody knows how long it will take.
My VO office is also in Singapore.

After some research I do see they have asked several people for divorce certificates that have not been married .... I mean it’s weird now to have children out of wed lock hahahahahha . Thank you again for your answer and congrats to you .!!!!!! Super exciting

Nah , I have researched other groups I am in as well and several have been asked , the same . I will send a letter along with the updated schedule -a . It’s a mistake yes , but you are right , they are working on it

Quick question the Pre Arrival letter what is that about? And does that come through the mail or will my lawyer get an email ? and I am still waiting on that cause my wife medical and all went through

Hi sdharan19, mine also at Singapore VO. Today I just got Pre-arrival letter, a month after passed medical exam. They still check my eligibility and not start BGC yet. How about yours?

Hi, timeline is as follows:

App received: 11 September 2018
AOR: 17 December 2018 (longest three months of my life)
SA: 10 January 2019
AOR 2: 21 January 2019
Med request and additional proof request: 27 February 2019 (asked additional proof that sponsor will move to Canada)
Medical passed: 05 March 2019
Passport request: 28 March 2019
COPR: Patiently waiting...................

Pre arrival means all good news from what I have heard.
My medical passed and biometrics done last month.
On ECAS says medical received and on GC KEY says medical passed and biometrics done. Background in progress.
The problem is it’s not consistent for everyone which makes it really frustrating . Good we have groups like this to support each other at least . Really hope to get some update soon too..PA is from which country dear.. and application date.?
