I’m so shocked cos I called CIC just this last Monday and an agent told me that eligibility, security etc had not been completed so I should be patient because I’m still within the 6 month mark and I was already planning on ordering GCMS at the end of the 6 months line.
I really thank GOD! I am currently on vacation so this was just the best news! I see the email gives me 15 days only to submit my passport for visa so will have to hurry back!
Oh yeah and I want to mention that I didn’t receive any ghost update before getting my PPR email!
Whew! This has been one patient wait and I’m just glad it’s finally over!

Hi, we've been a silent-reader of this forum for a while.
Every time we see someone get a PPR email, we are overjoyed.
We understand that this process requires an almost religious patience.
However, we were wondering if many candidates receive PPR emails within the last two weeks of the six month mark.
We have 14 days left, till we reach the six months (AOR: 6th September, 2018 - in IP1 since October, 2018) - is it now highly likely, we will run over and will have to contact CA Immigration?
We haven't contacted them as yet, as we do understand these things take time.
I didnt call or ordered gcms notes. I raise web form a few times. My application is in Ottawa. I didnt call or ordered gcms notes because i see there are a few in similar case as me..just being patient. Hopefully, i will get some news soon.

Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
The background verifications are not in process yet.
The medical examination results on file are valid for you, your spouse and your dependent children
I guess mine is at a very first stage and takes time to get PPR (hopefully)

The initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized. Following this assessment, your application was transferred to the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario (CPC-O). The office will contact you if they need other documents from you.
The background verifications and have not been initiated for security and criminality yet. The medical examination results on file are valid.
