Nice..

Ya it’s pretty quick for me. Now I’m waiting for PPR, as I just did my medical two days ago. The doctor said that there were no problems for me and my family.
We are in the 5th month(and a week) since the application was received at CIO Nova Scotia on November 5th 2018. What surprised me was the medical notification - as I was expecting that to happen in the later half of 2019 to happen. Jimshady also had a similar or quicker timeline as well.
Timeline so far -
31st Oct 2018 Sent application DHL courier from Singapore to Canada
5th Nov 2018 Application received by Tim at Nova Scotia Office, Canada
1st Feb 2019 AOR CIO
18th Feb 2019 AOR Singapore visa office
14th March 2019 Notification for medical, police checks and RPRF
15th March 2019 notification for pre-arrival services
28th March 2019 submitted police checks and rprf documents to Canada high commission in Singapore
10th April 2019 medical examination done
???????????????????

Hi There,
What is your NOC? Are you a freelancer or own a company? TIA
NOC 5133 I’m a music teacher.
I am a freelancer and I have a registered company here in Singapore as a self-proprietor.
I’m a Singaporean in Singapore. I paid taxes annually from the start back in 2010.
I took the ielts with my wife to boost up the points for our application, although we have more than the 35 points needed. We totalled 86 points for this application by our count.
I didn’t format my business experience into a very professional format. I just listed it as -
For example,
2001-2003 i was a blah blah blah
2002-2004 I was doing blah blah blah
2003-2007 I was doing blah blah blah
Sometimes I think if you present it in a simple and summarised way it may help them to understand better easily as well.
Everyone has to have a business plan for the appplication as I remembered it was in one of the questions in the form. I may be wrong. I provided a business plan in my application.
All the best people, I also hope we get through this hurdle together...

Just want to know that owning a company is necessary for initial application? or can apply as freelancer , showing enough income and account details? with a future business plan of course.
Hi There,
What is your NOC? Are you a freelancer or own a company? TIA
I am photographer running small business
This is the only discussion i have found in forum for self employed entry
Thgank you for starting it
My question is Do we need to fill the FORM OF SCHEDULE 5 (DECLARATION OF INTENT TO RESIDE IN QUEBEC )
@leavingonajetplane2016 can i pm you if you don't mind
Sure
Is it mandatory to send the police report along with initial files ?
No, but they will ask for it later on with additional documents and there's a deadline of 30 days then. If you've lived in different countries, you may have a problem getting all the PC within 30 days so better to submit with the initial application. It's valid for 1 year.
I think the fastest I have seen is for
@leavingonajetplane2016 .think it was from about 10 months which gives me so much hope. Current processing time is 23 months so just put that in mind so you don't get frustrated. I am preparing for my ielts which comes up on the 27th of April and I will submit as soon as I get the results. Good luck with your app
April - Nov.

. Don't think too much about the dates. When I applied, the timeline was 35 months and I was prepared to wait 2 years.
