Can anyone point me to the best thread or website to obtain the correct information on retired Americans wanting to move to Canada? We are not in need of work, we have no family or business ties in Canada. We would require the benefits of a citizen in whichever immigration form that may be available. Thanks much

There isn't really any information because Canada's immigration programs are directed at young skilled workers, not retired people. Unless you have a significant amount of money and time to try for an investor program, you are out if luck.

You need to have a net worth of at least $500K and be willing to invest $200-300K in a business in the province. There are additional requirements to be met like having experience in starting businesses.

If they had this much wealth they could easily retire in the US and not ask about getting all the benefits of citizenship. Unless yo retired early the Quebec investor program is not a great option since it easily can take 4-5 years and no guarantee what CAQ will do about immigration. The whole program could be stopped since there is so much fraud involved. Large percentage have been wealthy Asian who never lived in Quebec and just rented a cheap apartment while they may have already relocated to Toronto or Vancouver.
