Dont think any restrictions on buying property other than maybe some non resident taxes depending which province. However there are no immigration options to retire to Canada unless someone happens to come through Parent/Grandparent sponsorship route or if single marries a citizen or PR and comes through spouse sponsorship.

Other than that is just upto 6 month at a time visits.
