Hi! I hope everyone is fine and safe.
I have a question regarding restoration of status. It would be great if someone can tell something about.
I lost my job due the pandemic and applied to another work permit which was denied on December 2020. The problem is the lawyer didn’t tell me that in time, she told me about that only after 90 days and my first permit to stay in Canada expired on February 2020. I couldn’t leave Canada due the travel restrictions.
She, the lawyer, told me last week that I still can ask for a restoration of status until August 31 2021. Is that true since I have more than 90 days since my visa expired?
I’m planning to leave Canada in 1 month after taking my second dose of the vaccine but I wish to apply again in the next year. May all these situations be the motivation for denial in this future application?
If I apply for the restoration and leave Canada, can this show my good will in keep my records up the date even if I had falling in the past?
Any advice helps.
Blessings

Yes, you can apply for restoration under the public policy (link provided below). However if you are planning to leave in 1 month, then I'm not sure there's much point.

The point is that I want to show my goodwill in do the right thing when I apply again. I hope the officer who will analyze my application can see that in the future.
