Congrats!!! Its good news. Hopefully they will approve Oct 1st week photos by next week

Wow! That was fast. I landed on the 24th of September but yet to see any movement. I'm wondering if yours was this fast because you resent photos?

Received my PR card.

Photo sent 15th September
Photo Received 16th September
Application Approved: 1st November
PR Card Received: 3rd November

Latest information from CIC Call center:- Sydney office started opening photos which received on Sept 12th.
on 25th October they were processing 15th Aug photos.

With this stat i am hoping i will get myPR card by 16th Dec.

Hey Guys, has anyone recently tried to get in touch with the Agents at the IRCC call centre? I have been trying for the last 2-3 days but unable to get to the agents as there is a lot of traffic on calls. I wanted to know what's the latest status - someone had last posted saying on the 1st of November they spoke with IRCC agents and was informed IRCC was processing photos received on the 12th of September.

So, fortunately, they're working on backlogs!
Since my photos were received by Sydney on October 16th, somehow it's really good for us to hear new updates from you guys.

Why are cic asking so many people to resend photos? Presumably everyone gets them done as per the spec sheet (cannot imagine anyone inflicting delays on themselves by not following specs given how slow every step of the process is). So why are so many in spec photos being rejected, are cic just losing them and asking for new ones as they never give a reason, just a generic request for new ones.

Is it mandatory to send the new photos to CIC only via Canada post or we can use DHL or FedEx?

Took me 1.5 hrs to finish the pr process .
Now they will take 4 more months to get the PR Card.
This is so frustrating . All my travel plans is f...d up cause of CIC .

Indeed, i'm unable to travel outside Canada at Christmas because I don't expect i'll have my PR card in time so cannot book anything, the only alternative is to drive to USA and fly from there which for me wold be impractical or try to get a PRTD at the destination which is also risky and impractical, I landed 1st Aug, it's crazy to be unable to fly until next year by the look of it.

Actually I should cancel my Dec 15th flight anyday soon! It’s obvious that I won’t receive my PR card sooner than that! They received my photos Oct 16th!!!!!!!!

Don't cancel yet. You should get your card second week of December.
