You can link your PR card application to your 'my cic account' with your PR card application number.
The application number starts with 'R' and can be found at the top right corner on your photo resubmission pdf document.

I have tried linking using every option, it still can’t find my application. It’s tough to know the real status for cases like me. Calling the agent anyways gives us a standard answer which in most cases is not accurate!

I wasn't able to link initially but when I used the UCI + last name and carefully typed in my birth city exactly as it was in the passport then it worked (in my case there was a space and also my province name was in the city field. I wasn't inputting the space and province initials before, once I did that it worked and I was able to link)

Even I had some problems initially. for birthplace you must use as it is in COPR for e.g. you must enter in this format e.g. bangalore, karnataka. It will work for sure. Try it out

FYI, I applied for PRTD in USA. I requested for multiple entry PRTD. They gave me multiple entry PRTD until Jan, 2019.

I have a multiple entry (O) visiting visa to Canada that is valid for few more years, Once I landed the singly entry IM1 visa expired. During my landing procedure the border officer told me the following information regarding re-entry until I get the PR card:

Air/ Commercial transport: Show the visitor visa while boarding flight or bus since airline staff don't understand the COPR document. Once at the airport Immigration arrival just present the COPR and you are good to go.

By land self driving: Show COPR to enter.

Thank you and also to @kirribilliCN I tried exactly as given in COPR, didn’t work. Then went to passport and tried exactly as given, didn’t work as well. It has a city name and state name with a comma in between. I just separated them using one space. Not sure if I have to give more than one space. I don’t want to bother you guys anymore but if you are able to think of anything else I would appreciate it.

Btw, as I was trying options I exceeded 5 times. Have to wait for 24 hours now.

Few things to try:
-- Use the UCI + Last name option, Use application id optionif you know your application id (you would know this if they contacted you for photos, the number starts with R)
-- Make sure you are typing the letters in the exact case format
-- Use space only if it has space
-- Try a different browser
-- If you are not the primary applicant, then first try adding the primary applicant. If you are the only applicant then this is a moot point

There is no rhyme or reason why the options above might or might not work, I am just throwing things out there for you to try. I think this is just a result of a software bug or poorly devised database lookup. It is probably not on the top of list for CIC and also it is not completely broken so I doubt they will do anything about it for now.

I wanted to share some information regarding linking application online. So, I tried using UCI & Last Name.

As per my Passport my Place of Birth: CHENNAI, TAMIL NADU
As per my CoPR my Place of Birth: CHENNAI, TAMIL N

I tried using these, but it did not work. The POB value that worked was : CHENNAI TAMIL NADU
Note: Its different from the data in Passport and CoPR.

So please try different combinations, if the Passport and COPR data does work.
