Hello! I've had several setbacks along the way with my application. When I thought I was going to be sending it out ASAP in January, I only paid for the necessary part of the application. I want to pay for the ROPR now... but I'm not sure how to go about it. Should I ask for a refund from CIC and pay for a new thing all together? Or can I just pay for the ROPR and attach it with the fee I already paid? Also, I paid for it and I am the applicant living in the US so everything it under my name and my debit card (which happens to be a Visa debit card.)
We paid ours in two separate payments. First was the app fee and just a few weeks ago we paid the ROPR. We're in the US as well and I paid online with my Visa debit card. I made 2 copies of the receipt and sent one to the local visa office and another to CIC Mississauga.
Thank you! You did not send out the original? I was thinking of putting the RoPRF with my application, in the same clear plastic paper protector. I just hope it doesn't confuse them or they don't lose it or something because it isn't normal!
I want to bump this up purely to confirm this is correct before I send off my application. I intend to purchase the ROPR fee seperately but attach both payment receipts with the inital send-off of the application. Many thanks, and again to Rachel.
I would just paperclip the two fee receipts to application together.
If you are concerned, you could put a post it on each one labeling what each fee receipt is for though I am sure they will know what to look for.
My fiance and I are paying our fees separately but I just plan on attaching the two fee receipts together in the order that things are in the checklist.
If I would have known the fingerprints would have been rejected initially then delayed some (originally I was planning to send my application off in JANUARY!) things would be much different.
