You will see if anybody else will report NOI here.
That person has either wrong identified NOI as Nomination or he has only recreated his profile that was going to expire.
But yes it will be logical for OINP to go fishing in a bit lower points. And again it will be from new profiles only.
In my opinion, they have emptied out everyone above 444 from 17 Jan 2018 onwards in the most recent draw. Next draw might see numbers going lower, but not by much. Remember that there are almost 4400 people between 441 to 450 of which about 1700 having 444 and above went through on Jan 24. So they won't have to dig too deep to fill 2750 slots. My call would be that the cut off will float in high 440s for some time unless they have back to back draws.
I guess you mixed up 441-450 rage with 431-440. According to the latest pool data as of January 18th, 1,420 candidates were in the pool and not 4400 as you have written.

the score distribution shows 800 people are 450-500 & 200 people are 500-1200. Whats going on? how is this even possible to have such a high number of people sitting above 450? can anyone pls explain? this is super scary
Canadian Work Experience folks or even those with Masters+CLB9 with no prior work experience in Canada can easily score 450+ and since Canada is now topping the immigration charts more people are applying.

Don't forget those with one year Canadian experience + Master's Degree + CLB 9 + family in Canada or any combination of the above. I'm myself one of the beneficiaries of heavy reliance on CLB 9+, will be entering the pool at 464 in Feb once my ECA is done.
I don't think so, if that was the case they wouldn't have issued NOIs to applicants below CRS 400 last June around the time the CRS cut off jumped from 413 to 449.

Last year, from Feb to May, in 4 months the CRS cut off decreased from above 450 to 413 largely due to the crazy high number of ITAs issued. This has resulted in a surge of applicants applying for Canada PR.
Another Feb is here and CIC could repeat the same!

Got NOI today at crs 435, NOC 2174 and profile created on Jan 19,2018.
I have a query like if I apply for oinp and let's say if crs drop below 435 will I get an ITA?
If so will I be able to cancel oinp process and proceed with the ITA?
Kindly advise.

CIC started providing the pool distribution data from last year's April 5th draw (Draw 58) when they published the pool distribution data as of Mar 29th.
