Even though I rarely post, I follow all the ray of hope threads I am currently sitting at 447, wife being the primary applicant because she's younger than me; other than that we both have the same qualifications, perfect IELTS scores and an MSc each, but lose a lot of points due to age. I am very hopeful now that I see the base dropping - the funny thing is that I'll be in Toronto from 18-26 February (I actually work for a Canadian company, but abroad; so no points for me). Wouldn't it be cool to get a nomination while being there?
well, the draw didnt take place yesterday. It was expected though. We all were too optimist on having three draws in three weeks. But never the less, sharing a good read from CIC News
The thing is, the sooner the draw happens, the better for all of us as that will mean more points-drop and at this stage who knows how many of us are sitting at a difference of each point slot. So, here's wishing it happens soon.
53rd Draw Prediction: 452 (2200 ITAs)- 25 Jan 2017.
After the big clear-out of 3334 ITAs previously, most likely IRCC is waiting for the pool of applicants with 450 CRS and above to fill up until 2000++ within a 14-day period before they call the next draw.

So you mean that they don't want scores to drop below 450 and they would wait everytime until there are enough candidates in the pool with scores greater than 450, before making the draw. ;D

haha..I mean the score would drop, but not too drastically in terms of the variance in the coming draw.
They would not be purposely aiming at those above 450..part of this is about supply-demand equilibrium
