It would be such a surprise if there was a draw today! Like the last time. I did not even know till Thursday and got that email!

If it happens today: 454 with 2600 ITAs

If it happens on 25th Jan: 455 with 2600 ITAs

Cannot wait for the draw if it really happens today ! or just a disappointment like the past 2 years. Im torn in every way possible no peace. Im typing in here just for my own relief. I hope the score drops and ppl who are waiting on ITA should receive it to continue with their life !

Believe me when I say this - I literally was on the verge of breaking my Deposits that I specifically created for this purpose. I remember when I bumped up my score to 460 last year in April, I thought I would be done by last year itself - but disappointments kept mounting. Never lose hope and keep trying different options.

I would really like CIC to have kind of a projecting every certain draws - which would definitely help candidates.

Very interesting discussions. The two important points that caught my attention from the video are

1. 2.2 people on average are issued PR for every ITA
2. The dropout rate is between 25-40 percent...that is huge, but I'm not sure what is the source of that information.

As per them CIC would have to issue around 50000 ITAs to meet their target for 2017. IMO, if that is true then everybody sitting at or above 400 CRS has a fair chance of receiving ITA within this year.

Yes, you are right. The reason for 50000 is also shared. They say that in earlier instances 2015 and 2016, 33000+ were selected through Express entry and rest were paper based roughly 16000. But this time, this 16000 will also get added to EE. Hence there would be larger draw sizes. Since, there would not be much advantages to LMIA, the score should fall with larger draw sizes. Also, each draw consist of FSW+FST+CEC and PNP candidates.

So to meet the 50000 figure of FSW+FST+CEC, approximate 4000 should be the size for every month ---> 2000 biweekly. Add additional 500 to 700 PNP candidate in each draw.

The size of the draw should be in the range of 2500+.

Exactly what I have gotten with my calculations! This is a lawyer company but nevertheless they are spot on.
