I have been long wondering where do these people come from..... There is an abrupt number of people entering in the pool since last year. If we know what these people are and where these people are from, maybe we can deduce if this increase in applicants is one-time event or continuous.
CEC applicants, International Students, US H1B holders, more awareness about Express Entry Worldwide have sparked this sudden influx. Also, many STudents are now preferring Canada over the USA and the UK. Its also evident, 3 years back CRS was as low as 420s and 430s..then it increased to 440s then last year saw 450's..., this year it will be above 460s and it will continue to rise. In 2019 alone there were 720,000 INternational students.. so you can expect a sharp rise in CRS in 2020 and 2021.

It isn't a good time for the 460's either. Score dropped only to 469 in the last 5 months and that's too because of back to back draw.
People invested time and money to get to the 460 but seem everything went down the drain.

It went from 472 to 469 in a b2b . Not too bad thou. I only fear that the 468-469 terrain must have been crowded now considering the last time we saw such figures in the draw but we still can’t control the competition in the pool. We can only do our bit to remain relevant . I can imagine your pain but trust that hope isn’t lost yet and you aren’t alone in this pursuit. Stay positive and focused . We finishing strong !!!
My very rough estimation is that for the coming 8-9 months (i.e. at the end of this year) the "safe" CRS should be somewhat around 480. "Safe" here means one with this score basically has nothing to worry. According to the last 8 month data below, one can see the number of people entering the pool like hell, and you can see there is lot more people in 450-600 range. Yet, the CRS score increase just by 10 (from 460 to 470). Also, note that the increase from 470-480 should be more difficult than from 460-470.
But the CRS depends on more other factors and hence I think CRS > 465 may still have hope. Bon chance!

CIC is responsible body with strategy, there aren't crazy dudes inside to make 4500 to 3300 or anything weird. They raised it to 4500 and there's a reason behind it. I think they will keep it above 3700 or 3900 for rest of the year. That will help maintaining CRS in 465-475 with high influx of candidates and getting their high intake target.
Work towards increasing crs so as to be comfortable. Started this journey at 375 due to low IELTS and lost 5 points due to age, then maxed out IELTS to 459 u fortunately 460's became the in thing, spouse had to write IELTS, scored 5.5 in reading, crs came up to 467, then we entered era of 470's frustrating indeed.
Had no choice than to ECA spouse BSC and now ECA came on same day of 470 cut off, our crs now 475!
Waiting for the next draw, we're certain of ITA in the next draw, keep fighting
