I'm also in the same boat, sitting at 493 the system gave me for apparently 2 years Canadian work experience even though I'm on 1 year and 10 months...
Those who are with scores less than the current cut-off scores, PNP is your option. Most candidates with 600+ score did not have the cut-off scores at one point. So, getting a PNP will boost a mediocre score of 430 to 1030. So, hope is not entirely lost for you all. I am guessing most of these 470+ candidates are concentrated in the range of 473-476 right now. So, high 470s should be ideal for next few months, but you never know, a FST draw could happen and screw even the ones with 470-479 score. The last time a FST draw happened after the new year, the cut-off score went from 450 to 475 and it never dropped to 450 ever again. Watch out for it.
Waiting for ITA to drop within 24hrs and signing off from this thread.
It's been a rollercoaster ride. I just want to say don't lose hope people , back in Nov people said scores in january will be 480+ and I almost went into depression as there was no way for me to get 480+. That didn't happen and I have met cut off with scores in the 470.
So do your best to increase your score and keep the hope up irrespective of how gloomy predictions are
My score is 470, and I received Ontario PNP Interest Letter last month (maybe tech draw, my NOC is 2174).
Should I go with PNP or just wait? I am afraid of that PNP takes long time, maybe I would be invited before I get extra 600 points. And $1500 is not a small amount.

It depends upon your work experience and your NOC. If it's in demand in one or more provinces, you would usually get a NOI from them. Be patient as they do draws throughout the year.

I don’t think the score will come down ... especially below 460 .... you all should look options to increase the score ... as competition has become fierce, lots of students in Canada are passing out which means influx of CEC applicants some of them have foreign experience too increasing their points, then you have H1B applicants who are pouring into the pool .. and also awareness many people around the world have know realized this opportunity so more applicants pouring in. I too had this same problem and maxed out my ielts and had to wait for 8 draws till I finally got that invitation.. don’t loose hopes guys but find ways to increase score ! Good luck

If I were you, I would go for it. Yes, it might take longer to get your nomination letter, but you know for sure that you will get invited with that.
Besides, I believe you can cancel your PNP application if you get invited in the next few draws. Read their refund policy.
I don't think 1500 dollars is a huge price to pay for peace of mind. I think OINP nominates you within 90 days from the date of your complete application if it's under the Express Entry stream.
