You are dating this guy how long? If you get married, you need to be able to prove to immigration that it's a real relationship. If you don't think that will be a problem, you can apply outland, he officially living in the US but can visit you at will, he should have PR in 5 to 12 months. The average is something like 7 months. You can also apply inland, then he would come live with you and you apply for PR with him officially living in Canada. You can apply for work permit with your PR and sponsorship and he will have that in around 6 months and PR in 1-2 years but he's not advised to leave Canada while this application is in process. If he is in a profession that is in high demand in your area, he can come as a visitor and see about getting a job and work permit. That can take a few weeks to few months to get arranged and you can get married later and you can sponsor him if you want.
I'm thinking it's gonna take awhile as he doesn't have a "High Demand" job...
The few Companies I've talked to don't seem real keen on hiring "foreign" workers...too much hassle they say...
Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait until my divorce is finalized and get married!!
