My Parents are abroad and their visit visa will expire in October 2021. Is it ok if they will land in August and apply for visit visa extension (visitor record) to stay longer? I mean is there any requirement of period of stay in Canada(after landing) before applying to extension?
Note: They visited 2 years ago on the same visa.

Looks like they cam to visit in 2019 and if they stayed for 2 years they may have only recently left. Yes they can use the visa before it expires and attempt to extend if they want to. They remain visitors so shouldn't appear to be living in Canada.

1- if I applying for visit visa extension, does it subject to approval, or it is always approved by IRCC ?
2- if I apply just one month before the expiry date, can they stay until we receive the response from IRCC (which might take few months), or they must leave before the expiry date, if there is no response from IRCC.

1. Of course it's subject to approval, you cannot live forever in Canada as a visitor
2. Yes in that case they can stay until a decision is made after the visitor visa expires

I saw your post on this. I have similar situation, my visa will expire on the first week of August 2021(came here last month) and I'm planning to extend my visa. My pr application has been approved on all stages, just waiting for final decision. I was hoping the final approval will be out before my visa expires.. Also due to the new policy allowing visitors to work, I'm actively applying but I don't know if any employer will sponsor work authorisation now. The wait for the release of the pr approval is killing. I'm confused and don't know what to do
