Hi guys,
So I received PPR from Vienna earlier today (yay!) but it brought up a few questions for us. We were given the possibility to go in person to the VO for the visa to be affixed on the passport ("If you wish to have same day service, please come to our office in person. Please consult our web site (see address below) for our hours of operation.") We believe we will opt for this choice, since we don't want things to go wrong with the courier, especially because the email informed us that the visa will be valid only till January 24th.
I understand that usually when you send the passport to the VO, they will mail it back to you with the visa and COPR. Their email states: "Your immigration documentation and your passport(s) will be mailed out to you within 7 days from the date that the visa office receives your passport(s) via the same transmission method you selected.
My question is: If I opt for the same day service and go personally to Vienna, will my COPR be handed to me on the same day or will they mail it separately to my address?
Thanks in advance.

Since you have to submit your passport you are not visa exempt. Therefore they need to staple the visa into your passport.

Thank you for answering, but this was not my question. I realize I need a visa stamped in my passport, hence my trip to Vienna (I am not sending it by courier - I am opting for same day service).
My question is, since I am going personally to Vienna for the visa to be affixed on my passport, will they give me also the COPR on the same day together with my passport, or will they mail that separately?

That's what I know too, but my situation is different, because I will not send the passport to them by courier. I will go there in person next week, since they offered me this choice.
When they receive the passport by courier, they send it back together with the COPR. But when you go in person to get the visa stamped, do they hand you the COPR too or they mail that separately to your home address?

No problem! I figured that you skimmed through my first comment. I tried to simplify the question in my second post

It looks like you can drop it off in the morning and pick it up at 3pm. But I couldn't find a clear proof of that for you yet!

Just an update for anyone curious about this matter.
It has been confirmed to me that the VO will give you the COPR on the same day as the passport, when you opt to go to the embassy in person for the visa.
Thanks to everyone to answered.
