Is it easy to book an appointment with them? Should I only give them a call and book an appointment? I’m sure this one’s among the clinics I tried to call, but couldn’t get hold of anyone this evening.
Whenever I called, they answered right away.
I had called on Thursday morning and the first available appointment it was on Saturday.

If you haven't done it before, yes.
Okay, thanks!
Is it just the matter of cost or does it have any adverse effect?
Typically after AOR, its not taking too much time for Inland 2020 applicants. And medicals valid for an year... so wondering...
Not any adverse effect I guess. Just the matter of cost. If you can do upfront medical then why don`t give a try. Who knows that might speed up your final process as you are Inland applicant. Goodluck.

Could you please share if you have submitted all these docs via generic web form or through your IRCC portal after linking your application.
@LOLR1
Hey, I sent the documents via the IRCC WEBFORM since I did not have the link in my application portal.
I sent my 5 documents in only one IRCC webform, in which I put "permanent residence (applied by mail)" as type of enquiry, wrote down that I was sending attachments, and completed all the data they requested.
That was in the morning. I received the automated response in the night, saying that they only are responding Afghanistan doubts etc etc, and that if I sent documents they will add them shortly. That is all.
Next day I received the pre-arrival letter, but background check is not done yet.
I made a little poll on a FB group about my theory LSAA = End of Background check.
It seems it's not true for every case.
On 15 persons :
10 have a totally different date
3 have a slighty different date
2 have the same date
Wow, we are getting there.
I still think that this person is lucky though, at all of us should wait for proper Dec and Jan.
Yeah, they must be examining files until February 2021. If we are lucky yes, in December would be AOR for March/April 2021 applicants.

I did the same for the Biometrics, I sent again the receipt and I asked the letter to proceed with the biometrics, on the next day I received the PAL, I think they use this letter just to calm us down lol...and btw no letter about the biometrics so far.
