The processing time is according to the visa office. In some VO's there might be more load...

Ideally, CIC specifies 15-17 months for QSW program, irrespective of VO. Is my understanding correct?

That's true, but still, it is according to each visa office.
Take mine as an example: My file had nothing missing at all and it took a very long time as many files processed in ADVO
they received my file on Jan 2016, AOR Feb 2016 & started processing on March 2016
I received the MR on Oct 2018
I am sorry I am not discouraging you, but just letting you to be ready for the waiting game.

Hi ShannonT, some people in Africa on a French forum have received their MR in November. Their AOR is January 2018.

There is phone no in Quebec website.. Its a toll free no.. Wait for English option.. Have file number on hand. They will ask date of birth or some other questions to check genuinity

If it has been some time you can order the gcms notes where there will be more information.
Just an idea

Hi Shannon your application will send to Nairobi Visa Office this need around 2 month from AOR ,,, you get AOR ? Or you still wait for it ?

Step like this
First must your document for federal receive by CIC .
Second must you get AOR ( this maybe will take 2 month to 3 month )
Third your file will transfer to Nairobi Visa Office ( this will take around 2 month )

Application received on 26 Feb 2018,
Acknowledgement of receipt 28 march 2018
However, the time frame for medical requests really differs for everyone on unknown grounds. Sadly, November will be the 8th no-update month since my AOR. We went through an agency and every query results in a PDF with an ever ending ‘We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.’

Yes i have it. It shows up as ‘Application Received’ . We went through an agency so we can only query through them. So far, it is only the same PDF with comment ‘ We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.‘

As per my understanding the passport request is sent on email and not on the online account and the email may also come in the spam folder. Is there a specific line mentioned in the subject line or it keeps changing? I deleted an email which said passport enquiry in the subject. I am just hoping I did not delete the email we all keep waiting for. Kindly help.

Is there any way to contact them through the online account? I just tried deleting some spam/junk on my different emails and all were permanently deleted instead of going in the trash/deleted folder
