Hello,
I am a newbie here. Just wanted to know if anybody who applied for federal under QSW in June 2019 have received an update? I got background check request in Sept 2020 and have not heard since then.

Hi, I applied in the same month. Last update was pre-arrival letter in September 2020. Currently waiting for MR. I applied inland but currently living in the US

I applied for Federal Process on Dec 30, 2020 and got the XEP on Jan 11, 2021.
The address on the XEP is my current Canadian address that was filled out in the application as well.
However the UCI is not the regular 10 digit UCI I filled out in the application. It begins with T and has 12 digits following.
I think it might be a temporary UCI assigned when generating XEP.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar observation.

Unfortunately, No one can tell that besides IRCC. They are definitely prioritizing inland cases due to Covid travel restrictions. If this changes your file might move faster. For the inland cases the time from getting AOR to PR is generally around 4-6 months. So I am guessing once your file is picked it should be around that time to get processed.
Hii,
We received our CSQ in 2018 and received our AOR for the federal application in July 2019. We submited our biometrics in August 2019 and received an invitation to apply for pre-arrival services. But we still did not receive a request to do the medical tests. We are a family of 4. Can anyone give us an idea about how much longer we may wait?

I got AOR in April 2019 and still no MR and I’m a single applicant and Outland. Hopefully they will starting processing 2018 - 2019 outland applications faster now that the borders are opening.
While writing my paper for me in Quebec, I have realised that French is more important than English. Obviously, it is more important for writing in two languages and having the same fluency. These qualities can be more advantageous in the capital city of Montreal.
