I think it is mandatory that you have a PR or a canadian visa before travelling to Quebec. A CSQ does not permit you to travel to Canada or Quebec but it does however, show that you are chosen by Quebec to apply as a foreign skilled worker in their territory. You should apply to the Canadian embassy in your home country or your country of residence.
As Solokru rightly pointed out, U need PR to travel to Canada including quebec. Once u have CSQ, U need to apply to your local embassy. Without federal PR you cant go to Quebec.
Any nurses on this thread? I usually hang out in the Filipinos Applying for FSW thread but I'm trying my luck here. I just wanted to know some more information from other international educated nurses who already have (or might be planning) their applications for CSQ filed in HK.
Just an update. I have arrived in Montreal two days ago. (work permit not the PR yet). It is a beautiful city with great people, weather hasnt been that bad so far. Got the SIN and a cell phone, still looking for a job. Tomorrow I have an interview to work in a deli, yes thats right this is where people start working when they dont speak fluent French.
For all those who think that they can survive here without French, well it is possible, everyone also speaks English, however finding a job especially a somewhat good one it is a different story. All employers want billingual employees.
