Thats good news. Dont get worked up. File number is the same as CSQ number. Pretty sure your csq has been issued. Call them in the morning to confirm. I havent seen anyone who has gotten csq more than the 25 days deadline from the day the file was received at their office. So you wont be an exception so dont bother

Its 25 days from the date of application to get the csq. However you should get the file number sometime earlier. But just keep in mind the 25 days. MIDI as well sends a copy of your csq directly to cic, and they are aware that cic needs the csq within 30 days so just chill.

Should be 12 months or less as other provinces but we are still to see someone come here and testify. However i know a handful of persons here in Montreal who are not in this forum but who did the sponsorship and it was 12 months max. Some even had it in 7 months via quebec....as per hearsay.

Still waiting to receive CSQ of my wife.My lawyer forwarded the file on 27 th March and they issue file number on 6th April thats all.

My CIC Account also shows that local VO didnot even open the file. Our life becomes stagnant since 2013 and immigration program is killing me.

All cases are different. The delay depends of how you answered their questions, your proves of relationship, if you will need an interview, your visa office, or even the agent mood of the moment.... Here it took 4 months & 1 week to get the visa, with an interview, via Quebec process. It was in 2016.

My wife got the file number by post. Not email.
