For 2016, the total quota is 300,000 and for QSW program, it should be around 27 000. It depends how much is left for the last 2 months of 2016.
If there is no quota left, we would need to wait until Jan 2017.
Performance results
From April 2015 to March 2016, the service standard of 11 months was met 42 percent of the time. 80 percent of applications were processed in 17 months or less. Processing times increased as older cases in the inventory were being finalized. Newer cases are expected to be finalized in 2017.

I am an inland applicant under PEQ class.
I have waited 6 months for the Passport Request after the Medical Exam and RPRF sent (around the end of May). Does the long delay mean there is a problem with my file? Should I be worried?
Here is my detailed timeline:
File submitted: September 2015
Additional docs requested: November 2015
AOR: January 2016
File started to be processed: March 2016
Medical, RPRF requested and sent: May 2016
Medical received by CIC: July 2016

Where and how did you get this information? In the GCMS notes? We ordered them and didn't get anything of the sort. Submitted to NS in early november of last year as well, from inside canada, with our file now in Ottawa. Criminality, Medical, and Eligibility all passed, location: PACE, and due date of tomorrow.

It's good that they replied with such detail, they usually just send a generic message asking to be patient. I'm tempted to do it too... you just asked for status via Case Specific Enquiry?
