My husband is the main applicant in our EE. My sister is going to give us a gift for our POF. Do I need to include my husband's name in the gift deed? Or my name will suffice?

Your sister should gift you the money and provide you with a gift deed and then you may add an “Affidaviate of Support” for your husband. It will work.

Hi Everyone, I have a query in regards with the average balance. We have about 75% of the proof of funds required which are older than 6 months (some in joint account and some in my account). Now the rest 25% will be deposited now, Rather than depositing it directly in our account should we get that gifted from our parents so as to ensure it doesn't come under 6 month average balance rule ?
Also Fixed deposits are counted for proof of funds ? Or they are required to be in cash in the bank account ?

Better to get as gift deed and make FD. FD is the best way to show POF. You need account statement of less than a week. Maybe you can put 75% of money in a FD, show 6 month statement of accounts. In addition get gift deed of 25% from family members and put in same FD. 100% show as FD.
