By the way, if you have a job offer i.e. you are applying under Arranged Employment I don't think you need to show proof of funds.
thanks for the reply but from the link you sent it says "Real Estate: Money in property is probably the most widely used proof of funds. Many people plan to sell property owned in their home country before landing in Canada and will use the equity to establish themselves".so owing an apartment would be fine.....
