Trying to sponsor my newlywed wife to Canada and have a few questions. In one part it says to show proof of financial support to which I've been sending money to my wife but under my father-in-law's name since it is more convenient for him to pickup the money transfer, will this cause any issues?
I'm not sure about it causing issues or not but if it's the only proof you have then your best bet could be to write a letter outlining why you send money to your wife via her father, then have him sign a letter confirming this is the case. Does your wife get the money from her father and then deposit it into her own bank account? In which case you could include copies of her bank statements showing deposits which correspond with your transfers? My fiancé and I didn't have much to show as far as transfers of money go.

Thanks for replying. I would transfer with money services like WU or MoneyGram and she would just get the cash from her dad to do whatever. I've been sending for the past year each month and have pictures of all the receipts (with her dad's name on it).
