Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hi Praba, 15 months has already passed for you too?

Exactly 29 days left to reach 15th months ! But my mind says it will take 20 months ! Indian standard processing time is 19th months but they r getting visas within 5 months

Today marks 12 month since we applied under family class sponsorship. Today we also send requesting our 1st GCMS notes. Kind of nervous to find out what will be in those notes....

ya u r right praba they r getting very fast also 2015 file people getting interview too so what can we do? our Colombo officer(srilankan people inside officers ) they don't like to give to visa for us......they have all control even our life time decide

We share very similar timelines, and we are at the same point in processing and additional info request. Anyways, I dont think work/study history might have anything to do with speed of processing. But place of living will surely have an indirect affect, because if for example they just lived in just one place their entire live, it would be much easier for them to get police clearance. And Colombo VO can do their security clearance at a faster pace then if they lived in multiple juridictions. But in reality, I dont think it will be huge factor. Anyways, all the best and keep us updated of your process. Happy to see another April applicant on board to keep me updated.

All I can tell for December is that, my friend who is a Sri Lankan sponsoring his Sri Lankan wife, landed today in Canada.

Applied in December
Additional document requested in June
Visa issued - Last week of September with one week expiry
Landed today.

Hey I sponsored nov.2015.. Could be that if the girl in srilanka they give visa faster where as if the guy in srilanka the process takes longer.

hi sutha ..What are they telling(co) ? Was any requests asked by them? Have you appointed representative for you ? I think they may give visa I short time if we appointed representative. .
