Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Updates are supposed to be done on Tuesdays, but it's kinda all over the place. Ecas is never to be trusted!

Hi rathika, I went to mp recently. I didn't get much help. He said same as what embassy says to my wife whenever she goes to embassy. "officer is looking ur file". However I heard mp helped alot of ppl. So y not give a try? It may help u.

Watnxt and others,

My wife has received a letter from Clmb Canadian embassy saying she should bring in the phone bills, the proof of gifts, postcards and pictures of myself that I sent from abroad after our marriage, money-transfer proof( family support ) and her passport but no mention of bringing any of her pictures for visa. Maybe she have to wait some time - lets say one or two months - after the interview next week. Happy long weekend folks!

File transfer : April 19, 2011
Interview : first week of Aug., 2011

Visa : pending

im new hre just found the theard, my application was recived in jan 24 /2011 the ecas still says application recived nuthign like IN PRocess should i be worried thank you for ur hlep

Don't trust Ecas. Don't worry about that Times. Again, Ecas is not an accurate indicator of your application status. also can you please share your timeline with us?

Mel, I dont depend on eCAS as you said. However, i just noticed that my status has been change to "In Process". Hope to see good news before med expires next month.
