Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

When did your status changed to "In process". I am waiting for that status change. And wondering how long it will take to get visa from status change.

Can you apply for OHIP this early? I thought we have to provide a letter with living address to get OHIP. Letters something from bank or any other invoice bill.

hey watnext, my status changed in May. If eCas is very late, maybe the immigration website is late too? my hubby opned a bank account, and now he can apply for the OHIP since he has proof of residence.

Guys it looks like everyone is getting their visa around the 8-9 month period. So i think we're good to go. my only concern is how long of a delay the re-medicals are going to be for us. but i guess having hubby visit is better than nothing right?

I will keep you guys posted on everything. right now all i can say is hang in there. And for those of u that have just applied, please keep the thread going and dont get discouraged. if u read all the posts on this thread u will see some major highs for us as well as some all time lows. it's how it goes..

Thanks Mel, I will keep this thread up. Next Monday is long weekend here so Colombo office will be closed too. Mel, I know 2 more ppl whose med expired this month and waiting for embassy call.as u said u can be little relax since he will be with u here for while.

hey guys nothing is happening from my end..........this is driving me crazy...hey guys if i go to the mp would that affect my processing time in any way..........everyone from my end saying that go and see the mp...u think that will help please let me know so that i can make arrangements to see the mp..

Updates are supposed to be done on Tuesdays, but it's kinda all over the place. Ecas is never to be trusted!
