PROCESSING TIME FOR RESTORATION OF STATUS/WORK PERMIT

I just got a response back from cic today and unfortunately it was a negative response. My application was refused. For anyone who cares about timeline, see below.

I applied September 9, 2019 and got a final decision today December 18, 2019 (100 days)

I guess cic customer care knows nothing about the cases. Hope you will get your permit soon.

I submitted my online application for Restoration of Status - Worker last October 22, 2019. I emailed cic and they said it will take 99 days for online and 117 days for paperbased.

Hmmm. Thanks. It gives an idea about the processing time too. I also applied in the second week of October. Eagerly waiting for the restoration. I applied online. Hopefully, get back my permit in 99 days.

My wife is now in the similar situation. My application (employer specific WP) was approved while her SOWP was rejected.
It was a stupid copy-paste mistake. I put the end date for her SOWP as the end of my two-year contract, which goes over her passport validity by almost 6 months. The immigration consultant suggested that she should restore her status as a visitor first and then re-apply for OWP. This however does not makes sense to me since there is a way to directly apply for SOWP restoration using IMM5710. Could you share please how you did yours?

Hello guys, My spouse is waiting for her PR sponsored by me and she is living past her work permit expiry date which is Dec 22. Earlier we applied online for open work permit in november but today we were told that she is not eligible for online application but should have applied paper So we have been asked to pay restoration status fee and send work permit application as paper.

Can you guys please tell me if there is any specific application form that I need to include for the restoration of status as worker?
And in IMM5710 line 7, I dont know what to put as current "status" and the "To" date

Your help will be much appreciated.
