Hello, the current processing times for a first Permanent Resident card currently says 61 days. When does this process start?

Does it start when the Confirmation of Permanent Residence is approved and mailed to the applicant.

or does the processing time for the PR card begin once the applicant has "landed" in Canada using the COPR document?

61 days after the day you land.

Thanks for sharing.

Also did anyone paid during landing process at boarder? I did not but my friend paid at Abbotsford boarder crossing...

Am I able to look for work and apply places after landing but before I get my PR card? I'd like to start getting resumes out as soon as I'm eligible.

Your PR card has nothing to do with being able to work. You are eligible as soon as you land and get a SIN.
