It's not the standard but it does happen. Means u passed eligibility so just have to wait for MR instructions.

Even i received it last Friday and submitted my passport to Ottawa office as I am already in Canada. Any idea, how long will it take to get the passport back ?

I am an afghan citizen living in Afghanistan and my wife is living in canada, after processing my documents i gave my interview on 20th of November 2019 in islamabad and after few days i got my pre arrival service email since then its been more than 2 months i haven't recieved anything about my case whether its accepted or rejected? Anybody having the same issue or can anybody help me what to do about my case should i contact sombody in IRCC or just wait. And how long does it take after the interview the maximum time.

Since my previous medical was expired i got another medical test email i gave the medical so now i am waiting on that and if nothing happend within this month i will ask her to contact the VO

About 70 days ago, I was happy for receiving "pre-arrival letter" and was hopping to get PPR soon, but I got a CV request instead.

Don't worry, a lot of people were asked for CV, I suppose they are going to do Security Check in your case.
There are three different checks. Eligibility, Criminality, and Security. Mostly, when you pass Eligibility (or Criminality), you will get PAL.
Security Check is the last one.
