I am a PR from Jan 2019, completed 730 days in Canada for PR Renewal eligibility. PR card is about to expire in Feb 2024. But due to Family emergency i need to travel back to India in mid of 2022 and not sure i can return back before Feb 2024.

Question 1: Is it possible to travel back to Canada after Feb 2024 ?
Question 2: Am i eligible to get PRTD after PR card expire ?
Question 3: After Applying PR Renewal before getting new one. Can i work in Canada ?

You can apply for PRTD if you are still compliant with your RO. You can attempt to apply for PRTD based on H&C if you don’t meet your RO. If you have a US visa you can enter via the land border without a valid PR card but you can be reported to4 not meeting your RO if you don’t meet your RO. To renew your PR card you must be in Canada to submit the application. If your SIN# becomes is dormant you will likely need a valid PR card to get it reactivated. Without a valid SIN# you can’t work.

Hello everyone,
I have applied for renewal of PR card on Oct 16, 2021 and was waiting to receive it however just a day ago unfortunately one of my family member passed away in my home town and now I really want to fly back as I want to resend an application on urgent but we have a hospital death certificate at this time would that be acceptable by ircc?can someone please help me with this???
