I guess the processing depends on when your copr is expiring in your application status tracker account.. mine is expiring on the 4th Jan, 2025. so maybe that is why they hurried my application.
By that logic, then I'm screwed! My CoPR expiry date on tracker is June 2025 (same date as my passport expiry)! Medicals expire in August 2025. Oh well! Lemme go to a corner to cry! :)

In that case, they will follow the 5 months timeline. So you should get it soon... just that they are prioritizing those applications whose COPR is expiring soon...
I reached out to IRCC and they told me that if the COPR expires before they issue eCOPR, they have to reevaluate the whole application and send it to another office to get their approval...
Basically, it increases their workload, that is why they are prioritizing applications that are expiring soon.

It's just that being on "maintained status" and knowing you're in the final step for PR is all too overwhelming at times! Hoping they issue my eCoPR soon enough!

My copr expiry is July 2025 XD does that mean im gonna be a keyboard warrior going in to 2025! intriguing
