My spouse and I received our e-CoPR today, Dec 3, 2024. We applied through the economic immigration program called QIP, starting our journey back in 2019. Here’s our timeline:
• Application to Quebec: Aug 2019
• AOR from IRCC: July 6, 2021
• Medical exams: Oct 2023
• P1: Oct 8, 2024
• P2: Oct 29, 2024
• e-CoPR: Dec 3, 2024 (Etobicoke VO)
Our process was anything but typical, with several hurdles—including a major delay caused by a medical exam oversight that added six months to the timeline. We moved to Montreal in Aug 2022 when I enrolled as a full-time student at Concordia University, so we would be considered in-land applicants although we started the process from the U.S. While our case isn’t the best guide, the timeframe between P2 and e-CoPR might be helpful to those awaiting confirmation of permanent residency.
I’m grateful to this community. Your insights and comments provided both information and a sense of belonging. I hope everyone waiting gets their e-CoPRs soon. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
Thanks for the update. One more thing. Did you receive any sort of GU in your tracker yesterday or today before getting your eCoPR? I just got a GU in my tracker with today's date but everything's the same. Don't really know if it means anything!
Why would you be stressed? Don’t worry. Many people who got P2 on Oct 28 are still left to get eCOPR. They have given eCOPR to most on Oct 25/26 and Oct 29. So tmrw we will get it.
