Sent my PR card application on 31 May. Was delivered on 4 June. Haven't even received an AOR yet. My PR card is expiring on 14 Sep 2021. Just raised a webform but I am expecting a typical response- focusing on Afghanistan applications. SOOOOOOO frustrating.

I feel you! Mine was received on June 2nd. No AOR as of yet too but things seem to be moving along based on the info contributed by other members so it's not too bad.
It's a hassle because I'm applying for my son's child care fee subsidy and they have an issue with my expired PR card. I do have the receipt from paying the renewal fee and they said they'll accept it.
Hi All, with a PR renewal application under process, is it still ok to travel and leave Canada with my old card and return back to Canada with my still old valid PR card before its expiration date? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
If your case is easy less than a week. If you are unlucky and they send your file for secondary review, only God knows when. I afraid of the latter, because it happened to me last time.
As I understand from the timelines provided in this forum, an average time between App received and AOR for card renewal is 4 months (with old and recent processing times). Then another 10-14 calendar days till the card is delivered in mail.
I wonder if it also includes the "afghan" factor or it only relates to people who applied before June 2021.
My app was received on Aug 15, 2021...

No issues at all. After the card is expired, you can travel by land in your own car. Air travel will be a hassle. You can leave but you will need travel docs to return
