Hello All,
I got my PR card Renewed. Got Decision Made
Got following info:
Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on xxxx, 2012. You will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the CIC office closest to you.

Does it really take 4 weeks to receive letter for picking up PR card?

The processing time for renewed PR cards is currently 67 calendar days (almost 10 weeks). See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp for up to date processing times.

I understand what you said however, mine is already decision made
They said they have sent me a letter to pickup card.
I am concerned if it really takes 4 weeks to get my letter?

Hi. Did you fulfill your residency obligation i.e 730 days? or were short of some days if yes then how many days?
thank you

My ecas shows that I received the PR card on May 4th.
But I haven't received any letter nor the PR Card.
Is this normal? I'm afraid somebody got my PR card.

Anyone who has the same experience?

There's no way anyone got your card. They are not sending you the actual card. They're sending you a notice to go and pick up your card at the nearest CIC office. You'll have to go with this notice and all original documents as proof. There's no way they're mailing the actual cards.

My decision was made April 3rd, the four weeks are up and I also haven't received anything. Do they actually update ecas with when they actually send the notice? Mine only says decision was made April 3rd and I should receive it in four weeks.

As of April 30, ~90% of renewal PR cards will be mailed directly to applicants instead of requiring pick-up at a local CIC office.

Full details are available at CIC website under resources->manuals->bulletins->2012->ob412.asp

I have the same situation my PR Renewal was approved on April 19 2012 and i haven't received the letter to pick up the card yet.

hi thecoolguysam,

Did you receive the letter to pick up. I am asking as i am in the same situation.

thanks and regards,

Mine was marked as aprooved in March... and when I called (4 weeks after that) I was told the card was at my local office since late March.

I'm still waiting for my notification.

I'm in Toronto, where are you guys at?
