Hi, I just checked my application status and thankfully I was granted with a new pr card.
However, it said...

"You will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the CIC office closest to you."

I am leaving Canada on the 23rd for school. Is there any way CIC can send it to me via mail?

Thanks,

Matt

When did,you apply for renewal because I m also waiting for mine will, really appreciate your reply. N towards ur question some times u get the reply for pick up but get it,through regular mail I remember one person on this form who was informed for pick up but recieved the actual card by mail so let's see what they do.

just called cic office.
mine was sent to one of the CIC offices in vancouver (which is where I live)
I think you should call cic and ask them whether it was sent to your home address or not.

hope this helps

cheers

Some applciants are required to pick up their cards in person at a local office. It appears this is either for Quality Assurance (Programme Integrity) reasons or if there are concerns about the Residency declaration.
