I got my passport back and the applicantion is approved and closed. It took ten working days to be stamped, and I submitted it at the mumbai vfs. Applicants from delhi might get it earlier.
Anyway, since I have the package with me, here are the things / documents that you should look out for:
- Passport : The visa should be stuck on one of your passport pages. Please note that there will be no photograph on the visa. Check all the details eg dob, pp no., visa expiry etc. make sure they are correct.
- 2 prints of Copr : One is a cic copy, on which the photograph (which had the photostudio details) is stuck.
The other is a client copy. No photograph is stuck on this. Check your details onboth the print outs and tally them with the visa in the passport. Please do not do anything to the Copr printouts. You are meant to sign them in the presence of the immigration officer when you land.
- Spare Photograph : This is the second photograph, which is returned along with the package.
- Leaflet: This is a leaflet containing instructions / general information. Please read this very carefully.
Please check all the details on the Copr and the visa twice, thrice and make sure everything is correct. You do not want to get into trouble once you land.

Guys, its been almost 2 weeks now that my BG changed to in progress...you reckon I should order GCMS notes to see whats happening!! I'm sick of the wait! Had ordered GCMS notes twice in the past! Called up IRCC helpdesk a few times...they just don't give up the finer details of the application!!
Same here my BG check has been in Progress since 16th September, I already ordered GCMS but need to wait for one month to see what's happening. I could not connect to an agent, they said due to volume of calls they cannot connect and should go online. Are you out land or inland? I am PNP outland, NDVO.
I'm also PNP outland...Its been more than 10 months now...all because CIC did not do workload re-distribution properly...
