You could send an email to the college asking that question. Nobody here can answer the question of what courses qualify so your time would be more widely used if you contact them.

Yes contact the college and ask them what courses qualify for the PGWP. To be honest you are just wasting time posting here when you could be getting an answer from the college. They will be able to tell you but you have to contact them to be sure. Course duration rule only applies to certain private institutions not EVERY institution. Why don't you save yourself the hassle and go to a public college/university?

What have you paid for? It is of course your choice whatever you do but I can't believe there are no courses available in all of the country that you could do. If you are going to risk getting a work permit at the end that is completely up to you but you have our advice on the matter. If you still want to persevere with Montreal. Contact the college. That will take less time than asking 20 questions on here
Why risk it: to some its worth the risk. Some of the "students" get visa's after barely passing their exams in their home countries. so they accept the fact that they are not going to get the grades in Canada, specially when they have to work part time as well.
so private colleges offer an escape where you get admissions with low grades; some even offer deals where you dont have to show up for class, just pay the annual fees and they issue you your diploma at the end; all while the student is out there working cash jobs full time; planning for PR through an alternate means (mostly marriage to a canadian).
then there are those who genuinly want to study but get stuck in a private college because that's what their agent told them is the best option (never mind the kickbacks the agents get from private colleges). I personally know a couple of guys who went to a private college in vancouver with genuine intentions to study but on their first day, were told by the "professor" to not waste time and go look for a wife and a job as they only had as long as their visa was valid for.
So in a nutshell, if you really want to study and follw the path of PGWP> PR, then avoid private colleges.
I'm sorry if you know that the private college has sub standard education already it really is your problem then. People here who know more than you have given you good advice and you are not willing to take it. So enjoy the study and getting the sub par diploma
