PPR to COPR Journey - PPR in JAN/FEB-19

I received my PPR email on Sep 23, and delivered my passport on Oct 8 from US via UPS, and it has been 2 weeks after that, haven't heard back from them. It's so scared, I worried a lot. Is this normal??

Same situation, my passport was delivered on Oct 9. I was told by CIC agents that they normally have about 2 weeks to process it, so it's normal. If it's more than two weeks they should be able to send a message for expedite processing to CPC Ottawa, at least that's what they did today when I called.

Thank you for the quick reply! Did you also send out yours from US? So they can confirm the receive of your document by phone right?

I've sent from Canada since my wife lives here, but I'm a US resident. I'm not sure they really confirmed they received it, they just asked for the tracking number of Canada Post to make sure it was delivered on Oct 9 as I stated, and then they went ahead to send a message to CPC Ottawa.

There is supposed to be a change to "Approved". Supposedly that happens when your Visa or COPR gets printed and normally around 2 days after that the return tracker gets activated.

My passport was delivered on the 7th. Haven't had any updates yet. When I called today I was told that my passport has made it to the printing room, so hoping and praying for an update soon.

I am in the same boat, sent from US through fedex, delivered on Oct 8th, no update so far..

Will definitely do. I actually tried calling them twice today but couldn't get connected to an agent. Will try again tomorrow.

Did you also send your passports from US?

My file got approved today. Tracker activated as well

Congratulations. I took your advice and called in the morning today at around 8. Was able to connect with an agent and he told me that my Passport is in the printing room as well. He said that Ottawa updated that status Tuesday evening, so hoping to get an update tomorrow hopefully.

Will update once I find out and best of luck on your journey ahead. Hope you are able to get your passport this week.

Hello Guys,

I received my PPR email on 21st Oct, I had initially applied from Dubai. Now i had moved back to India and sent a request to the Visa office stating that my addres has been changed and asking me to allow to submit my passport in India VFS.

May i know if anyone was in similar situation and how long did it take for the Visa office to respond back with the updated letter ?

You would need to use an app such as Textme and then select a Canadian number. After that you call directly at 888-242-2100

I tried to pick up a Canadian number, but no matter what area code I type in, the 5 numbers they gave me to pick from are all USA ones... guess Textme doesn't work that way anymore?

Did you have location off? You will manually need to select Canada for the number. If you have location on it will force you to select a US number if you are in the US.

Thank you, i ended got the canada number, but when i tried to call that 888 number, it doesn't allow me to call... oh well, guess I will just be patient and wait for their update lol
