Count me in, I filed my application in October, 2011. Got AOR in December, 2011 and RCMP Fingerprinting request in Feb, 2012 from Buffalo. Since then, I did not hear anything and my ecas shows RBVO. I asked my MP to request some information on the processing of my case and he said they did not even touch you file. Its waiting to be assigned to an officer

This report says that Ottawa office is planning to clear the Buffalo backlog by next summer (that means by the end of August 2013, all the Buffalo applicants should have their applications processed ?)

After almost two years of wait, and with frequently changing rules and policies, it is hard for the applicants to believe in any news. But lets hope that things will get better and the processing will be done based on first-come-first-serve basis, and hopefully all the applicants waiting from Buffalo will get their applications processed by summer!
Well to get rid of the backlog mean to be at the same timeframes as LA or Detroit offices, that's it. Those offices will be at 22-24 months processing time (80% cases), so based on this assumption, in June 2013 (because it says BY NEXT SUMMER) all people who applied till June 2011 will be processed (well, 80% of those people). It sounds very realistic actually as 10k cases were transfered to Ottawa, about half of those were Quebec applicants, some part will go through CEC and will withdraw FSW applications to save money and time. Cap is big, 55K for the next year. In December they don't send PPRs, probably out of cap, maybe training new people, maybe organizing the process. But definitively 2013 will be a good year, thanks to God
